I have a Zamfir album- they were always in the $.50 bin! Good stuff. That was an informative piece Liz. Would love to hear some nai and other folk instruments in contemporary music. Any artists out there who are referencing their cultural history in new and interesting ways…? Keep the vids coming; these are well done.

Hi Liz,
We have really enjoyed the nai video–you did a great job on it! Rodney is home for another week and then it’s back to work in Moldova. I hope you had a special Christmas and will enjoy a Happy New Year!

Very informative! I didn’t know anything about the nai until now!
What a beautiful looking and sounding instrument! That footage from the Soviet film is priceless! Thank you for your post.
